As the SSP5 is a gas-powered pistol, you will need the right gas for your gun.
You can find the appropriate gas here on our website:
(EU): https://eu.novritsch.com/product/airsoft-gas-nimrod-switch/
(US): https://us.novritsch.com/product/airsoft-gas/

We would recommend using the 0.28 g BBs.

Of course, it is also possible to use a lighter BBs version, just keep in mind that the heavier BBs are more accurate and have a much more stable flying path.

TROUBLESHOOTING

This only happens with gas magazines.
To fix this, please remove the magazine base (https://novritsch.com/product/ssp1-magazine-base/) and find the black bottom screw next to the golden valve.

Try to unscrew it a little. Don’t overdo it, since your magazine will leak if this screw is too far out.

Please use a 2.5 mm Allen key for that.

This can be reattached using a 0.9 Allen Key.  Simply slide the front sight back
into its position and tighten the screw.
Bear in mind that it is a very small screw, and it will be, in most cases, still in the
front sight.

If you, unfortunately, lost the screw, you can get a new one here:
https://novritsch.com/product/ssp1-front-sight/

You can also get a little upgrade, namely our fiber optic:
https://novritsch.com/product/ssp1-fiber-optic-front-sight/

-fill/exhaust valve: Please unscrew it, give it a good clean, and apply fresh silicone oil (thick). Let the silicone oil sink in properly before reinserting it into the magazine.

-bottom plate: Please undo the bottom plate with the black screw, which you can find next to the golden valve on the bottom. Clean the O-ring and apply fresh silicone oil (thick). Let the silicone oil sink in properly before reinserting it into the magazine. Please ensure, that you screw it in tightly, once you insert it again.

If you couldn’t fix the valves using this method, you have the option of getting new ones here:
https://novritsch.com/products/the-ssp1-system/pistol-spare-parts/

You are probably using the wrong gas which is causing the issue. For clarification “Medium Gas” is Green Gas and should not be used under 35 °C/96 °F.

Furthermore, when you load the magazine, please hold the gas bottle over the magazine and make sure that the feeding lips are pointing toward the ground.

The reason for that is that the gas is actually not a gas, but a state of aggregation, which is, in fact, liquid. You can indeed compare it with pouring water into a glass since the liquid can only flow downwards

When filling it, count to three and stop filling. We know it can go longer, but you want to avoid overfilling the magazines.

Find a wooden surface where you can lightly tap the bottom of the magazine against it so that the capsule can fall out on its own.

Make sure to put a cushion or something soft on top of the wooden surface, so that you won´t damage neither the magazine nor the surface.
