If you are experiencing power issues, always first check if you are using the correct gas and BBs for the temperature you are using the rifle at. Please check if the chronograph you are using for measuring the power is set up correctly and has the appropriate BB weight set.

Additionally, clean your inner barrel and hopup bucking, as there might be dirt or dust inside.

Some screws on the SSQ22 have screw glue applied to them.
If you try to unscrew them without heating the screw first, the screw will likely get stripped.

We recommend using a heat gun or a similar tool to warm up the screws for a few minutes before trying to unscrew them to melt the screw glue, as well as using correctly sized tools.

As with any airsoft gun that comes from a factory, there is a protective oil film on the inner barrel to prevent rusting while on a sea ship.

All that needs to be done is to clean the inner barrel.

This usually only happens when the hopup is not adjusted properly. To do so, increase or decrease the hopup by turning the TDC wheel on top of the barrel.

If you are still finding the gun to not be hopping properly, please first thoroughly clean the barrel assembly, or check if any parts of the hopup assembly are damaged or missing.

If your gas magazine is leaking after filling it, you first need to find out where it is leaking from. You can do this by filling the magazine with gas and submerging it underwater. The bubbles escaping the magazine will show where the leak is.

Leaking from fill valve or exhaust valve:
If the magazine is leaking from either one of the valves, you should first try tightening it, though not too hard, as the valve might get damaged. If the leak continues, then the valve most likely needs to be exchanged.

Leaking from magazine body:
If it is not leaking from the valves, please first follow the “Magazine Troubleshooting video below:

If this does not help, please further disassemble the magazine, as seen in the “Magazine Disassembly” video, to remove the aluminium magazine body:

Once you have taken it off, check both of the silicon o-rings around the magazine base and top. We recommend taking them off and re-lubing them with silicon grease or thick silicon oil.

Carefully re-assembly the magazine, making sure that the magazine body is oriented correctly.
If the top and base of the magazine do not smoothly connect with it, the magazine body needs to be flipped around.

Especially new magazines may need to be worn in first, as the paint on the back of the magazines may cause them to not fit perfectly.
On the SSQ22 magazines, they have to be rocked into place to ensure that they are seated completely.

When pulling on the magazine after inserting it, it should not jump out and be completely secured inside the magazine well.

If your SSQ22 has trouble cycling and feeding BBs, then the rifle might have light-striking or gas issues.
Light-striking occurs when the pressure from the type of gas used is too high, resulting in the hammer not being able to release enough gas from the exhaust valve to cycle the gun.
If that is the case, weaker gas should be used, please refer to our temperature charts to ensure that you are using the right gas.

Other causes for this can be too weak gas for a given temperature, too low temperatures or cooldown.
Cooldown occurs if the magazine gets too cold from filling it often or shooting many shots from one magazine in quick succession.

Cycling issues will also occur when the magazine is running out of gas, as it cannot produce enough pressure with the remaining gas.
